The Government of Castilla-La Mancha will recognise 17 organisations at the ‘2024 Regional Environmental Awards’ on June 10 in Cuenca.
The LIFE RIBERMINE project will be honoured in the Environmental Quality category, for the environmental recovery of the Peñalén (Guadalajara) and Lousal mines in Portugal. It is considered one of the most complete geomorphological reclamation projects in Europe, using the Talud Royal method, a pioneer in mining worldwide.
