Monica Silva, a student at the University of Coimbra, is pursuing her PhD in Geology and intends to integrate in her thesis the principles of the LIFE RIBERMINE project, through the valorization of local geology to rehabilitate areas of former mines and quarries. With an approach focused on efficiency, economic profitability and, above all, with an approach focused on the safety of the population and the reintegration of local geoheritage, flora and fauna in abandoned exploration sites.
