September has always been the month for attending conferences. In the last two weeks members of the LIFE RIBERMINE project have participated in two important International Conferences.
The first one took place from 5th to 9th September 2022 in Alicante, Spain. It was the 13th European Conference on Ecological Restoration (more info at https://www.sere2022.org/), organised by the Society for Ecological Restoration in Europe (SER Europe) and the University of Alicante. At this conference, Cristina Martín Moreno gave an oral presentation on the techniques, advances and results of the LIFE RIBERMINE project in Peñalén. About 50 people attended the presentation of LIFE RIBERMINE and showed interest in the techniques and results by asking questions after the presentation. It is worth highlighting the relevance of this international congress, given that it is a benchmark congress in Europe for professionals involved in Ecological Restoration.

The second of the conferences took place in Coimbra, Portugal, from 12 to 16 September 2022, the 10th International Conference on Geomorphology (more info at http://www.geomorph.org/2021/10/10th-iag-international-conference-on-geomorphology-12-16-sept-2022/). On this occasion, José Francisco Martín Duque gave an oral presentation on the project. Given that LIFE RIBERMINE includes actions based on geomorphology in Portugal, the presentation of LIFE RIBERMINE at the International Conference on Geomorphology, held in Portugal, has been particularly appropiate and relevant, attracting great interest from the international scientific community. The presentation of the LIFE RIBERMINE Project is summarised in Abstract number 732.
Both conferences, in addition to giving international visibility to the project, have served to make new contacts with scientist and specialists interested in the work carried out in the project. We can be very happy, they have been a great success!
