A paper by Jorge Buesco, Professor at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, on the Lousal Pilot Project has been published in the INGENIUM magazine of the Portuguese Order of Engineers.
This paper includes a contextualisation of the Lousal Mine as well as a presentation of the Lousal Ciência Viva Centre and its activities. In addition, the author describes the LIFE RIBERMINE project and presents the expected results. It also includes a brief interview with the President and Executive Director of CCV Lousal, Jorge Relvas and Álvaro respectively, in which they discuss the importance of environmental recovery projects in Lousal and the influence that projects like LIFE RIBERMINE can have on the mining industry at national and international level.
