On March 4th, 2022, took place the defense of a PhD Thesis developed within the framework of the LIFE RIBERMINE project.
This Thesis was brilliantly written and defended by Ramón Sánchez Donoso and directed by the members of the LIFE RIBERMINE project Jose Francisco Martin Duque (UCM), Maria Elena Crespo Feo (UCM) and Pablo León Higueras (UCLM).

Ramón, among other contents of his Thesis, showed the restoration works carried out in the Lousal Pilot Project and answered perfectly to all the questions asked by the jury that evaluated him, which was composed by: Saturnino de Alba Alonso (UCM), Rosario García Gimenez (UAM), Juan Carlos Fernandez Caliani (UHU), Tommi Kauppila (Geological Survey of Finland) and Cristina Martin Moreno (UCM).
The final grade received was Magna Cum Laude, the highest possible, the examining board has highlighted the novel and applied character of the thesis as a new line of research and work in the field of mining and geochemistry.
